Intermediate Care plans progressing after pledges met

PLANS to improve access to Intermediate Care are progressing after pledges made to address concerns were fulfilled. NHS Tameside and Glossop Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) is centralising Intermediate Care beds into the Stamford Unit, adjacent to the Tameside and Glossop Integrated Care NHS Foundation Trust (the hospital).

Future development plans for the Digital Health Centre

The Digital Health Centre (DHC) at Tameside and Glossop Integrated Care NHS Foundation Trust was launched in March 2016 and since then its medical assessment service has grown from supporting three residential care homes and one nursing home to now linking in with 45 out of 46 of care and nursing homes in Tameside and Glossop - the remaining home is waiting to upgrade their Wi-Fi so they can access the service – and the Tameside Council Community Response Service (CRS).
